Having perused the menu the tvcork crew decided to grab The Pulled, (poor little, but oh so delicious) Lamb, served in a crusty roll and what a delight it turned out to be. We skipped dessert but downed a Coffee by Pasucci, who? and just had time for a quick nose at who was eating there, before jetting back to the studio for an evening tweet marathon about Buying Local For Christmas.
Lunch Served from 12 noon until 3pm, although should you arrive later, rumour has it that there might be possible offerings of late afternoon tea and toast, nice idea.
Dress Code is Smart Casual but expect to see a good few suits from the nearby South Mall district or the occasional well heeled local millionaire propping up the bar.
Open Monday - Friday from 09.30am and Saturday and Sunday from 12 noon.
Annam, is the Sanskrit word for food and the cookery workshop was set up by two local food enthusiasts to bring the experience of authentic Indian cuisine to the people of Cork.
"Our goal is to share and celebrate the experience of simple, healthy, delicious and everyday Indian fare."
With easy to use and simple recipes Annam's monthly Cookery workshops take the myth out of Indian cooking. A workshop costs €40 with all ingredients supplied. You can bring your own bottle and at the end of the workshop everyone sits down and enjoys the food they have created. What a great way to spend a Friday night.
Annam also have a supper club with menus ranging from street food themes to east meets west evenings and their fun filled social evenings are €35 for a 3 course meal plus cocktail.
Annam is at The Cookery Cottage on the South Douglas Road. Find out more here.
